According to the national weather service, The night and early morning of July 26th and 27th was an eventful weather night. Shortly after nightfall, heavy storms brushed across the northern end of Kansas City, Kansas. The storm sustained for an amount of time in excess of 3 hours. For those hours, an estimated 5-7 inches of rain accumulated creating mass flooding. That is roughly 1-2 inches of rain per hour. "Numerous swift water rescues were performed across the city and surrounding areas, including a live televised rescue at a restaurant" (NWS). In the above photos, you can see a work in progress of a home affected by the flooding. SERVPRO was proud to help the recovery efforts!
